The Moondrop Golden Ages 2 is a premium true-wireless earbud set built around sound quality first, wrapped in a retro reel-to-reel cassette design that won a 2025 New York Product Design Award (Silver). It pairs a patented 13mm superlinear full-frequency double-suspension annular planar magnetic driver — larger and lower-distortion than a typical dynamic driver — with Moondrop's custom TWS-01 SoC, aiming for the kind of detail and clean tuning IEM enthusiasts expect, now cable-free.
The audio chain is the main event. Full-link total harmonic distortion is rated below 0.05%, and the tuning follows Moondrop's VDSF target response for a natural, well-imaged sound.
