The Leobog Hi75C is a 75% CNC aluminum mechanical keyboard kit built around a gasket-mount structure with PORON gasket pads, a five-layer damping stack, and a slotted positioning plate — a combination aimed at a specific acoustic goal: killing cavity resonance while preserving the soft, cushioned keystroke that gasket mounting is known for. The result is a kit that competes meaningfully above its price tier in both build quality and sound, making it a strong foundation for anyone entering the custom keyboard space or upgrading from a budget plastic board.

The stack beneath each keystroke is deliberate and layered: PET film at the base, PO bottom foam above it, a single slotted PCB, an IXPE switch pad, and PO plate foam between the switch pad and the slotted positioning plate. Each layer targets a different resonance frequency and surface interaction — the IXPE pad cushions individual switch contact, the PO foams manage broader cavity and plate resonance, and the PET film controls the lowest-frequency vibration travelling through the case base. The PORON gaskets between plate and case isolate the PCB assembly from direct contact, letting the typing surface flex slightly on each press and return cleanly — which makes long sessions noticeably less fatiguing than tray or top-mount alternatives.

The CNC-machined aluminum alloy case is finished with a spray process for a smooth, premium surface, free of the mould lines and texture variation injection-moulded plastic cases commonly show. The rigidity of the aluminum chassis keeps the gasket-mounted assembly firm and consistent under heavy typing, without the subtle flex polycarbonate or ABS cases can introduce. The integrated knob in the top-right corner adds hardware volume or a custom function control without expanding the footprint, and the 81-key layout keeps the full function row and arrow cluster within a desk-efficient 75% profile.

All 81 keys are hot-swappable with 3-pin and 5-pin MX-mount compatibility, so you can change switches without soldering at any point. South-facing per-key RGB lights the keycaps from the correct angle for clean legend readability with reduced bloom, and NKRO ensures every simultaneous keypress registers accurately no matter how many keys are held.

As a barebones kit, the Hi75C ships without a full set of switches or keycaps — it includes 5 sample Leobog switches to test the hot-swap sockets, leaving you free to choose your own switches and caps for the build. You'll need a full set of switches (81) and keycaps to complete it.
