The keyboard hobby's most trusted switch lubricant — a light G0-viscosity grease that gives linear switches a smooth, creamy, quieter keystroke and doubles as a stabiliser-wire lube. This 5g jar covers a full keyboard.

Read the full description

GPL 205 G0 is one of the most trusted lubricants in the mechanical keyboard hobby, widely used to eliminate switch scratchiness and achieve a smooth, consistent keystroke. This 5g jar holds enough for a full keyboard's worth of switches, making it a practical pick for first-time builders and experienced modders alike.

The "G0" refers to viscosity — a light, thin grease that coats switch stems without interfering with spring action or creating a mushy, over-lubed feel. It's best suited to linear switches, where it reduces stem wobble and friction against the housing for a creamy, controlled glide that noticeably lifts the typing experience — a quieter, smoother keystroke with a more refined sound than dry or factory-lubed switches.

Beyond switches, GPL 205 G0 doubles as a stabiliser wire lubricant. Applied to the wires, it helps remove the rattle and tick common on unmodded stabilisers — a small but genuinely impactful step toward a cleaner, more polished-sounding build.

For anyone tuning a keyboard build, GPL 205 G0 is a straightforward, reliable choice that delivers consistent results whether you're lubing a budget board or a premium custom.

🌟 Key Features

  • G0 Viscosity Grade — Light grease that lubricates without masking switch feel or spring response
  • Ideal for Linear Switches — Reduces stem-to-housing friction for a smooth, creamy keystroke with minimal wobble
  • Stabilizer Wire Compatible — Helps eliminate wire rattle and tick when applied to stabiliser wires
  • 5g Jar — Enough for a full 60–100% keyboard build
  • Trusted Enthusiast Standard — Widely used and recommended across the keyboard community

⚙️ Specifications

Brand Kelowna
Product GPL 205 G0
Weight 5g
Viscosity Grade G0 (NLGI G0 — Light Grease)
Type PAO-Based Grease
Primary Use Linear Switch Stems & Housings
Secondary Use Stabilizer Wires
Not Recommended For Tactile/clicky switch legs, springs

💡 Application Note

GPL 205 G0 is a thin grease meant for linear switch stems, housings, and stabiliser wires. Avoid applying it to tactile switch legs, where it can dull or "round off" the tactile bump, and use a thinner spring lubricant (such as an oil) for springs rather than this grease. Apply thinly — over-lubing causes a mushy, sluggish keystroke.

🎯 Perfect For

  • Builders lubing linear switches for the first time or upgrading a stock build
  • Anyone doing a stabiliser mod to remove wire rattle and improve sound
  • Enthusiasts who want a community-trusted, go-to lubricant without guesswork
  • Budget-to-mid-range builds that want a noticeable improvement in switch feel
